We are a HEMA club focusing on the teachings of 16th century German fencing master Joachim Meÿer and the 17th century Italian fencing master Ridolfo Capo Ferro. More importantly we are a club that is passionate about exploring and preserving these martial arts, and having fun while learning history and swordsmanship.
We drill sequences of techniques individually, with a partner, and express what we learn during various intensities of free play (sparring). We also take part in many of the HEMA tournaments that held in the HEMA community.

Johann Lopez,
Johann Lopez Longsword, Sword & Buckler, and Rapier Drill Leader.
Johann has a Filipino martial arts background and has focused his studies on i33 Sword & Buckler since 2020.
Keith Hamm
Longsword & Rapier Drill leader
Studied rapier (Ridolfo Capoferro as his main source) since 2001within the SCA and began training in the HEMA community in 2014.
Quoc Lieu
Longsword Instructor and Manager of the KDF Fencing club in St. Augustine. Quoc helps organize different HEMA tournaments all throughout FL with different weapons and rule sets, and partnering with different clubs in the area.
Matthew Stinson,

A Kentucky born Navy veteran, Matt has been practicing HEMA since 2014 and is a member of Sword Carolina Online Academy. Matthew has a background in Krav Maga.
Bill Ernoehazy
Instructor, Longsword
Naval veteran. Extensive training in the German longsword tradition. Has taught at several Western Martial Arts weekend conferences. Recognized as an instructor of the Selohaar fechtschules by Christian Henry Tobler. Teaches the 14th and 15th century roots of German medieval combat, both unarmored and armored.
In Memoriam
We lost Dr. Bill in December of 2025. His influence on our club cannot be understated. His passion, kindness, and thrust of knowledge helped spaced the community we have built here over the last decade. Dr. Bill cannot be replaced and he will continually be missed.
